We had a catch up with Jules, a new addition to our social media team who you may have seen popping up as a friendly face on our Instagram, talking us through her favourite pieces of the season and how to style different trends. What makes you love IRIS as a brand?

My issue with the fashion industry at the moment is 'fast fashion’: the cheap prices that drive people to buy quantity over quality.  In 2015 a survey found that the average woman in the UK has around 10 items that she will never wear again and the average wear for an item bought in the UK is around 7 times, to summarise, affordable fashion is disposable.  What I love about the By Iris brand is that a lot of thought has gone into the collections to make every item versatile, timeless and made to last. Furthermore, the collections ooze a feminine quality, forgiving shapes and I always feel confident that I’m wearing something a little special.

What do you love about the stores?

As someone who is time poor, what I love about the store is that it’s like Iris has trawled through the best brands and refined an ideal selection of timeless pieces and wardrobe staples for a multitude of occasions for someone like me - a working mum. It’s quite literally a one-stop wardrobe shop.

What is your favourite piece from the new IRIS collection? 

I’m wearing to death my white Irsa blouse - my wardrobe staple. But something newer, I’m loving the denim Chambray Juniper blouse or the Jennie dress version.

What is your favourite brand that we stock at IRIS?

So hard to choose but I do love American Vintage for everyday pieces and there is always something I love from Isabel Marant.
 

What item are you most looking forward to wearing now that the world has started to open up?

Most definitely my Shae Cord dress!

What is one accessory that you are coveting right now?

The Deborah Cadby gold letter charm necklace!

Where are you planning on travelling to when we are able to?

Fingers crossed, Swiss Alps and the South of France.

What will be your go to pieces to wear for these trips?

Most probably an American Vintage plain white T and a boho skirt like the Jane Patchwork skirt, white jeans and the Chambray denim shirt.

What is your ideal Sunday morning?

Ideal Sunday morning is when the children wake up late and it’s raining, no need to go out, we have a late breakfast and play a game. I’m in my leggings and a hoody and I take a yoga class while the kids watch a film. Then we pop by grandparents for Sunday lunch.

Our Hampstead store is your local branch, what places do you have to recommend around there to eat or drink?

My favourite spot is the Holly Bush pub on Holly Mount which I love!
